Raviteja dupe killed. Things in mess

What started out as a regular shooting on the waters of Godavari on 15th March, turned into a junior artist missing in the waters only to be found dead drowning the next day. This happened during the on going production of Suresh productions film starring Raviteja, Anushka. The scene involved heroine Anushka pushing Raviteja and Sunil into Godavari. Two dupes replaced Raviteja and Sunil. When the director said okay, Anushka pushed the two dupes (picked locally from Rajamundry) into the waters of Godavari. The dupe for Sunil (Ramesh) survived the waters but (Mahendra Sharma) was no where to be found then. The body was found today at Purushothampuram. Ramesh confirmed that they both were asked if they knew swimming. After they were pushed into the waters, a boat was sent to pick them up. When the pick up boat went there, they saw both the heads but one was drowing (Mahendra). They tried to get hold of Mahendra but he was out of reach then. The unit conducted a quick search and immediately left the spot is what is heard. The locals are very irked with the whole cinema unit. They are insisting on registering a complaint with the police on heroine Anushka who pushed them and the production unit. However, the police are not sure if they can register the case as the dupes intentionally took up the risk on them. Family of Mahendra seemed to have migrated from Rajasthan a while ago. Mahendra comes from a very poor family. It is a very unfortunate event and loss to the family is not recoverable. Our deepest condolences to the family.

AR Rehman released Ali's Sombheri audio

Music of Sombheri, starring Ali, is tonight released at Taj Residency, Hyderabad. World famous music director AR Rehman arrived at the venue as the chief guest and released the music, presenting the numbers to music directors Koti, Manisharma, Mano (debut music director with Sombheri), Devi Sri Prasad. Madhura Entertainments is marketing the album. Jonnavittulua Ramalingeswara Rao, lyricist turned director, is the captain of the film. Speakers on the dais unanimously felt that AR Rehman made India proud with his music, felt worldwide. Murali Mohan and Paruchuri Gopalakrishna were also present. AR Rehman said: "When I first started my recording studio, I composed music for the first time to the tune of Mano. Earlier, the music directors with whom I had worked couldn't understand my tunes. It was Koti, who recognized the talent in me. I will never forget my association with Koti and all other music directors here. I always cherished special relationship with Mano. I wish the team of Sombheri a grand success." Mano rendered a song from the album much to the amusement of the gathering. Producer Venkatrao thanked Rahman and other prominent music directors for gracing the occasion. Director Jonnavittula said: "Sombheri is about the exploits of a lazy fellow in the film. While he remains lazy in the first half, he remains so energetic in the second half and gets into the topnotch position. The highlight of the film is that it was extensively shot in Srikakulam, Muvva and Koochipudi, which represent the 2000 years of Telugu culture, and which fact is lesser known to the Telugus themselves even this day. A special sequence was shot in Dubai with all relevance to the sufferings of those who reach out there in search of livelihood only to end up in starvation under hot sun with scorching temperatures running up to 53 degrees Celsius." Hero Ali said: "AR Rehman's music is like a ripened fruit which is tasted by a squirrel or parrot. I did taste such a fruit in my life. I am lucky to have AR Rehman here to launch the audio of my film. I can never forget the patronage I received from directors Koti, Manisharma, Devi Sri Prasad and director Jonnavittula. I am sure; this film will give extraordinary entertainment to one and all."

EkaLoveYudu is Udaykiran's new film

Eka Love Yudu – is the title for Uday Kiran's new film in the direction of KRK on Sri Venkataramana Films banner in the presentation of Medikonda Muralikrishna. Addressing a press meet, presenter Medikonda Muralikrishna said: "We are happy to announce the title as EkaLoveYudu. We are going to release the film's music on April 2nd, while planning the screen release in the second week. KRK is getting introduced as director and others are Anil Krishna as music director and Kriti as heroine. Amar Chand is the producer. This is the tenth film on our banner. Though I had taken several films, I never talked about the hero. But, I am thrilled to say that Uday Kiran has really done a fabulous job. He cooperated with us not only as a professional hero, but as our child. I am sure the film would be liked by all sections of the audience." Director KRK said: "We struggled hard to put a suitable title for the film more than we had worked for the film." Music director Anil said: "There are six songs in the film and all of them are being treated with different tunes." Hero Uday Kiran said: "The film is a great treat with romance, love, action and comedy. Our first success is clearly seen when producer titled the film as EkaLoveYudu. There is complete comedy and entertainment in the film. Songs, music and cinematography are going to be big assets to the film." Producer Medikonda Amarnath said: "There is a small sentiment in giving this title to the film. Earlier, we did blockbusters Suryudu and Narasimha Naidu. Later, there was almost a big gap in our production house. This film is completed as our prestigious project." Charmee's new movie launched

The new movie of actress Charmme was today launched at Annapoorna Studios, Hyderabad. The film is made on Cosmos Entertainments banner. This bilingual film in Tamil and Telugu is directed by Prabhu Solomon. Producers are P. Mahesh Babu and D. Nageswara Rao. Rebel star Krishnam Raju clapped the muhurt shot, while camera was switched on by KS Rama Rao. Senior director Sagar did the formal first shot direction. The film is an action-packed comedy with elements of suspense and thrill. Actress Charmme said: "Actually, the film first began in Tamil and fifty percent of the shoot was already done. During the shoot, several times I felt that it would have been a great thing had the film been made in Telugu. Luckily, the producers got ready to do the film in Telugu also, as per my wish. I play the character of a young girl, who has no thought of tomorrow. Going by the script, I imitate the popular artistes. In Tamil, I imitate MGR, Rajnikanth, Kamal Hassan, Vadivelu and Vijaykanth. In Telugu script work is going on. I hope to imitate the artistes – legendary NTR, Allu Ramalingaiah, Chiranjeevi and Sunil. This imitating is not deliberate in the film, but it is part and parcel of the script. I am sure the film would bring good name to hero Arvind." Director Prabhu Solomon said: "I am happy to do a film with Charmme. Her role is like Lady Rajnikanth since it has been modeled with a lot of energy and speed. The story is about the journey of 16 days through which the hero and heroine get closer to each other. What happened between them is the crux of the story." Hero Arvind said: "This is my debut film. There were times when I used to sit before the posters of big heroes dreaming of becoming a hero one day. This way, it is dream come true for me. I am thankful to director, producer and heroine Charmme for all their cooperation." The film in Telugu version will have its regular shooting schedule from March 18th to April 15th. Second schedule will commence from April 25th to May 10th. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Brahmanandam, Jayaprakash, Manorama, Dheerajkumar are among the cast. Music is by debutante Dharani. Story, screenplay and direction is by Prabhu Solomon.

Audio of Ninna Nedu Repu released

The audio of Ninna Nedu Repu, starring Ravikrishna (hero of 7G Brindavan Colony), Tamanna and Akshara is today released at FNCC, Hyderabad. Aditya music is marketing the audio. The film launched on December 7th last, is produced by Nookarapu Suryaprakasa Rao on SPR Entertainments banner, with Lakshmikanth Channa (of Hyderabad Nawabs fame) as director. It is announced that the film would be releasing in the next twenty days. Surya daily Chairman and producer Nookarapu Suryaprakasa Rao, Dil Raju, Bhaskar (director of Bommarillu), ML Kumar Chowdary, Amma Rajasekhar, RK (producer of Hyd. Nawabs and Angrez), director Lakshmikanth Channa, dialogue writer Koratala Shiva, music director Anil, cinematographer Vincent took part in the audio release. Dil Raju formally released the cassette and presented the first number to ML Kumar Chowdary. Bommarillu Bhaskar released the CD and presented the first number to RK. Suryaprakasa Rao said: "I can assert that doing a small film and getting it released is like a yagnam. We really worked hard and faced through several hardships to complete the film. I am happy that director Channa has done a wonderful job. Music director rendered a superb job." Dil Raju said: "It reminds me of a wise saying that there are Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow in the life of everyman. Director Lakshmikanth Channa worked for Bommarillu film as assistant director. One day, I was surprised to find him as director for Hyderabad Nawabs. He has got that fire and energy to work hard. I am sure, this film will become a blockbuster." Bommarillu Bhaskar said: "Lakshmikanth Channa is a good friend of mine. He proved his mettle with his film Hyderabad Nawabs. I am going to do a film with Anil, who is scoring music for this film." Director Lakshmikanth Channa said: "After my debut film Hyderabad Nawabs, I got several good offers. But, after I readied this subject, I approached Nookarapu Suryaprakash. He liked the script and accepted to do the film in both Telugu and Tamil. The story is about the dreams of a middle class young man and I have tried my level best to portray the realistic feelings of the youth. There is going to be full-fledged entertainment and good comedy."

Bathukamma music released

Audio of Batukamma, a film on Telengana culture and tradition, was today released through Madhura Entertainments Music at RNR Auditorium, Hyderabad. The film is made on Kakatiya Films banner with T. Prabhakar as director. Producers are P. Saraswati Ramamohan and Smt. Bakkapati Vanaja Chandrasekhar Rao. The function was graced by balladeer Gaddar, Gorati Venkanna, former Union Minister Ch. Vidyasagar Rao, Dr. Andesri, BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya, Yaraballi Dayakar, Mallu Swarajyam, Bhimireddy Narasimha Reddy (freedom fighters and Telengana armed struggle leaders), Warangal Mayor Smt. Swarna, Ch. Hanumantha Rao, real star Srihari, Tammarerddy Bharadwaja, R. Narayana Murthy and others. Gaddar released the audio cassette and heroine Sindhu Tolani released the CD. The speakers at the function were excited to speak about the Telengana struggle and hoped that Batukamma would herald a new lease of life for people who are fighting for the uplift of Telengana. R. Narayanamurthy announced that he would soon be taking a new film titled Veera Telengana. Tammareddy Bharadwaja announced that one among the top four heroes in the industry is ready to act as hero in the film in the backdrop of Telengana struggle. The film will be releasing in April.

Prakash Raj has no gratitude for Tollywood

Prakash Raj rendered his services in many languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam etc, as such Tollywood has given him due recognition but he is forgetting the ladder from where he climbed to this stage. He says that he has starred in many movies and in multi languages but as a producer I am sure that I wish to make movie in Tamil language only the reason is Tamil industry is like Kaasi pilgrim and my flicks will be a quality ones will not be cheap was stated by him to the media.

Rajni makes fun of his friend Mohan Babu

Rajnikanth stated that during 1978 - 79 when I was busy in Telugu and Tamil flick facing problem in traveling between Chennai and Hyderabad. Balachander guided me to choose one language to act and Mohan Babu suggested me to settle down in Tamil industry saying there is lot of politics in Telugu industry. When known facts ( with laughter) he has sent to Tamil industry to avoid competition in Tollywood. In 1976 when he did Annadammula Sawal and Iddharu Asadhyule for which producers proposed that they would give him 1.5 acres of land in Jubilee Hills for which I agreed but Mohan Babu stated that what will you do with this rock land ask producers are trying to deceive you ask them to pay you money.

Ram Gopal Varma's Gaali

Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is planning to produce another Telugu film after the dud Shock [directed by Harish Shankar and starring Raviteja in the lead]. The film is tentatively titled Gaali. Jagapati Babu will play the lead.
Jagapati Babu had earlier worked with Ram Gopal Varma in Gayam which gave Jagapati Babu the much wanted mass image.

Ullasamga Utsahamga Shoot Complete

Director A. Karunakaran (of Tholi Prema, Yuvakudu, Balu and Happy fame) has come up with another romantic entertainer titled Ullasamga Utsahamga. The shooting of the film is complete. Yaso Sagar and Sneha Ullal played the main leads. BC Somu and GS Ranganath are the producers.
The music of the film will release in the last week of March and the film will be released in the next month.
Dialogues by Chintapalli Ramana, lyrics by Anantha Sriram, choreography by Kalyan, action by Vijay, art by Chinna, editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh, music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by I. Andrew are the other credits.

Naa Manasukemayyindi To Release On April 10

Viswasai Arts' Naa Manasukemayyindi will release on 10th April. It stars Paramesh and Sindhu Tolani. The first copy of the film is out.
Jointly produced by Kalavakuri Ankababu and Somaraju Purusottama Rao, Naa Manasukemayyindi is directed by Sriram with music by RP Patnaik, action by Nandu and dialogues by Ramaswamy.

Vinayak - The screenplay of 'Yogi' will captivate audiences

After the hugely successful "Laxmi", Telugu director V.V. Vinayak is coming up with another thriller. "Yogi" is about a mother-son relationship and Vinayak is confident that it will "captivate the audience".
The film, starring action star Prabhas and Nayantara in the lead roles, is a remake of the Kannada film "Jogi".
"I was excited when I saw the original Kannada version - 'Jogi' - and worked for eight months on the script to deliver a sure-fire winner. Though 'Yogi' is a remake, I took only its core and then designed my screenplay to suit the tastes of the Telugu audience," Vinayak told us.
After "Yogi", the director is planning a film with Nagarjuna.
"I am unable to reveal any details about my next film with Nagarjuna because we are in the process of finalising the script. I want to come up with an exciting script to get his acceptance."
Vinayak catapulted into the big league with a series of hits like "Aadi", "Dill", "Tagore" and "Bunny".
